Médecins Sans Frontières is an international medical humanitarian association founded in 1971, and brings assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly by armed conflict, but also by epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters and exclusion from health care.

The Tokyo Cell is part of the Operational Centre Paris (OCP) and currently supervises 13 programs in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Pakistan, Bangladesh and Iran.

In close collaboration with Tokyo Cell, EAMA (Ethics cell for Awareness and Management of Abuses) and Alert Management Coordinator, Safeguarding Case Manager will have a key role in Respond to Abuse and inappropriate behavior.
The Case Manager will be responsible for team management including supervision of the investigators. You will also ensure that case management is performed for abuses and inappropriate behaviors as defined by the MSF International Platform of Behavior (IPOB), ensuring MSF Standards of Case Management and Investigations are followed and all reports are addressed professionally and promptly.

 Purpose of the position
Under the direction of Relationship Development Manager and close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to maximize the support to MSF operations, the position holder develops strong engagement with *legacy donation prospects. The person is also required to develop engagement with ‘Major donors’ (‘high value donors’ including individuals and corporate).

*Legacy donation consists of bequest (the donation left by last will) and donation of Inheritance. Legacy donation prospects are the people who are willing to leave donation for MSF.

Objectives
・Achieve ambitious fundraising net income in line with the MSF principle and strategy
・Raise awareness of legacy donation, generate lead, develop engagement with prospects
・grow and strengthen engagement of targeted major individual and corporate donors

Main Responsibilities
1) Legacy prospect account management (expected time allocation: around 70%)
2) One to one Major donor account management (Individual and corporate) (expected time allocation: around 10%)
3) People/team management  (expected time allocation: around 10%)
4) Contribution for MSF Japan and the movement  (expected time allocation: around 10%)

Purpose of the position
Médecins Sans Frontières Japan (MSFJ) is one of essential contributors amongst 25 sections and 27 associations to the global MSF movement providing grants, skilled personnels, technical expertise and advocacy, committed to delivering independent medical-humanitarian aid to populations in crisis in over 70 countries. MSFJ has been in existence for over 30 years.

The General Director (GD) is appointed by and report to the President and the Board Members of MSFJ.
The GD is responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and ethical management of the organisation, with a staff of over 90. Working in close collaboration with senior managers the GD plans, develops and establishes policies and objectives and oversees their implementation, to support the MSF mission by recruiting and preparing field staff; raising funds; bearing witness and speaking out on the plight of populations at risk; and by providing input to MSF operational activities. Developing and managing relationships with other MSF entities is an important part of the role.

General scope of work
In close collaboration with directors and team leaders, the GD:
• Hold overall responsibility to ensure the effective, efficient, and ethical management of MSFJ, within all applicable laws and regulations and the MSF Charter and Principles.
• Propose multi-year strategic objectives, annual plans, budgets, policies for MSFJ, to the Board designed to support the execution of MSF’s mission to provide medical humanitarian assistance worldwide and adjust them as necessary with the consent of the MSFJ Board.
• Designs approaches and execute activities, budgets and policy compliant guidelines to deliver the agreed strategic objectives including defining major financial investments. Ensuring that all activities and practices are compliant with MSF policies, statutes, rules and formal agreements.
• Assesses and monitor risks to the section and its strategic objectives and design, propose and execute mitigating approaches.
• Accountable for the design and implementation of all office rules and regulations
• Execute plans related to other entities in the MSF movement and participate in all relevant platforms.
• Reports to the Board on agreed basis on the progress of the delivery of strategic objectives, changes in risks and in the general MSF internal and external environment, significant changes in budget, to enable the Board to make informed decisions.

Executive Director, Malaysia Branch Office & APAC Project

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide strategic and operational leadership of the APAC project, including oversight of the Malaysia Branch Office. The APAC Project is a partnership between MSF Australia, MSF Hong Kong, MSF Japan and MSF Korea to support the delivery of MSF’s global social mission from the Asia Pacific region in a considered, efficient, and effective manner. The role aims to strengthen MSF’s presence, impact, and alignment in the region by leveraging opportunities in fundraising, communications, digital marketing, human resources, and operational support.

While the position contributes to MSF’s regional engagement and collaboration across APAC, it operates within a highly coordinated framework involving multiple sections and Operational Centres. The role will initially focus on establishing and strengthening the foundational administrative, HR, and compliance systems of the Malaysia Branch Office before expanding into broader regional collaboration activities.

The ED, Malaysia Branch Office & APAC Project also represents MSF externally and internally in Malaysia on non-operational matters and cooperates closely with any MSF operations representatives in Malaysia to advance MSF’s social mission.

This role reports into the APAC Steering Committee (Executive Directors of Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia) for strategic accountability to the APAC project, with one of those EDs acting as the role’s manager. It is also accountable to the board of the Malaysia office (Malaysian Board Members + 4 EDs of APAC), for all activities inside Malaysia.

募集職種によりますが、入職の段階では必ずしも求められません。しかし、入職後ぜひ興味を持って勉強し、人道援助への理解を深めてください。国境なき医師団では、海外現場から帰国したスタッフによる報告会や、さまざまなレクチャー、外部向け講演会などを催しています。

Q 入職後の研修について教えてください。

オリエンテーション(座学)とオン・ザ・ジョブ・トレーニングを組み合わせた研修が1カ月程度行なわれます。その他、自身のスキルを高めるため、外部研修などに参加できる「自己啓発援助制度」もあります。
