業務内容

Purpose of the position
Under the direction of Business Application Manager, and with the collaboration with other IT members, Business Application Sr. Officer is responsible for maintaining and operating business application systems (ex. donor and other supporter management systems, BI systems and other applications developed specifically for MSF Japan Office) These systems are essential for supporting internal client activities from IT perspective.
Business Application Sr. Officer is also expected to contribute to improve/enhance IT internal processes and controls.

Objective
Business Application Sr. Officer is responsible for the effective management of IT systems and services, business-related IT initiatives. This includes the strategic use of internal and external resources—such as temporary staff, IT vendors, and financial assets—to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
 ✓ Ensure timely and accurate provision of data as scheduled or upon request.
 ✓ Maintain stable, secure, and efficient business application systems and services on a continuous basis.
 ✓ Support cross-departmental and departmental projects by identifying and implementing the most suitable IT solutions.
 ✓ Develop business application plans that align with the overall MSFJ strategy, departmental goals, and IT resource planning.
 ✓ Provide expert consultation and advice to internal stakeholders, demonstrating a strong understanding of both organizational and departmental objectives.

Main Responsibilities
1 System maintenance and system operation support
 • Extract and aggregate data to support MSF Japan Business activity.
 • Maintain and update database records to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
2 System management and enhancement
 • Plan and manage business application systems, system architecture and IT related business schemes to provide adequate services and minimize risks with long term and overall optimization perspective.
 • Manage system related requests and develop resources plan, mainly related to business application, from business users in MSFJ.
3 Contribute to Enhance internal IT processes and procedures
 • Following the direction of application manager, proactively propose ideas to enhance internal process and procedures to improve quality of services and work efficiency, and leading to implement those ideas
 • Properly lead and improve team to record and track activities to make it source of improvement and evidence of performance

Purpose of the position
The Business Application Senior Officer plays a key role in driving MSF Japan’s technology-driven transformation. This includes leading the introduction, implementation, and adoption of selected platforms and services while ensuring they are deployed effectively and appropriately. The role also requires hands-on configuration, data validation, prototyping, and continuous improvement leadership.

Objectives
The Business Application Senior Officer ensures that MSF Japan’s business applications and IT services operate effectively and support organizational goals. The role manages systems using a combination of strategic planning, vendor coordination, and hands-on work, while making appropriate use of internal and external resources. The Senior Officer also provides timely and accurate data, supports cross‑departmental projects with suitable IT solutions, develops application plans aligned with MSFJ’s strategy, and offers expert advice to internal stakeholders.
 ✓ Ensure stable, secure, and optimized operation of business applications.
 ✓ Manage business users’ requirements, multiple vendor activities and project QDC.
 ✓ Lead user onboarding and promote active utilization of new systems.
 ✓ Translate business needs into requirements and manage deliverables.
 ✓ Perform hands-on system work including analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting.
 ✓ Support continuous improvement of internal IT processes and governance.


Main Responsibilities
1 Unified Supporter Data Platform
 • Lead implementation of integrated supporter data platform (donations, International Mobile Staff, event participants, volunteers and so on) as a project manager
 • Design and develop secure architectures to protect personal data and privacy.

2 Salesforce Enhancement; start from Corporate and major donors
  • Define requirements and support workflows, configurations, and validations.
  • Coordinate vendor activities while also performing internal configuration.

3 Marketing Automation Preparation
  • Support evaluation and planning of MA tools based on data platform readiness.
  • Develop CX/UX-oriented use cases and prepare KPIs and dashboards.

4 Operation & Continuous Improvement
  • Handle SQL investigation, data validation, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Manage enhancements, data quality, user accounts, and maintenance.

業務内容

Purpose of the position
Under the direction of Relationship Development Manager and close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to maximize the support to MSF operations, the position holder develops strong engagement with *legacy donation prospects. The person is also required to develop engagement with ‘Major donors’ (‘high value donors’ including individuals and corporate).

*Legacy donation consists of bequest (the donation left by last will) and donation of Inheritance. Legacy donation prospects are the people who are willing to leave donation for MSF.

Objective
・ Achieve ambitious fundraising net income in line with the MSF principle and strategy
・ Raise awareness of legacy donation, generate lead, develop engagement with prospects
・ grow and strengthen engagement of targeted major individual and corporate donors

Main Responsibilities
1) Legacy prospect account management (expected time allocation: around 70%)
・ Develop and improve communication plans with legacy donation prospects
・ Respond to legacy inquiries and questions
・ Develop partnership with legacy professionals to expand and cultivate the legacy donation market
・ Receive legacy donation cooperating with legacy professionals
2) One to one Major donor account management (Individual and corporate) (expected time allocation: around 10%)
・ Develop and increase the number of direct contacts with individual and corporate donors
・ Strengthen personal and engagement of donors via meetings, phone calls, and mails and e-mails
3) People/team management  (expected time allocation: around 10%)
・ Daily supervision for officer level staffs and assistant
4) Contribution for MSF Japan and the movement  (expected time allocation: around 10%)

Q 語学力はどの程度必要ですか。

原則として、ビジネスレベル(会議で意見を言える、英語で簡単なレポートを書ける程度)の英語力が必要です。

Q 医療・人道援助にまつわる専門性は必要ですか。

募集職種によりますが、入職の段階では必ずしも求められません。しかし、入職後ぜひ興味を持って勉強し、人道援助への理解を深めてください。国境なき医師団では、海外現場から帰国したスタッフによる報告会や、さまざまなレクチャー、外部向け講演会などを催しています。

Q 入職後の研修について教えてください。

オリエンテーション(座学)とオン・ザ・ジョブ・トレーニングを組み合わせた研修が1カ月程度行なわれます。その他、自身のスキルを高めるため、外部研修などに参加できる「自己啓発援助制度」もあります。
