| Tasks |
<Purpose> To assist Access Campaign Coordinator in achieving Access Campaign goals in supporting Access Campaign activities in Japan. Please see our HP at http://www.msf.or.jp/news/essential/about.html about our Access Campaign activities.
<Tasks> (1)Translation- Simultaneous translation (English to Japanese and Japanese to English) at external meetings, events, forums, conferences, panel discussions, briefing of policy makers and interviews.
- Written translation (English to Japanese) of selected Access Campaign reports, briefing papers, press releases, editorials and correspondence (letters and emails).
- Written translation (Japanese to English) of Government, civil society, academic and business reports, briefing papers, news and journal articles and correspondence (letters and emails).
(2)Monitoring- Monitoring policy developments relevant to Access Campaign dossiers in Japanese language media including newspapers, academic journals, TV, radio and websites of key actors in government, business and civil society.
- Monitoring progress of legislation and policy debates in the Diet related to the Access Campaign.
- On day to day basis will be responsible for ensuring that the Access Campaign Coordinator is briefed on any policy or media developments relevant to the Access Campaign.
- In support of the above and under the supervision of the Access Campaign Coordinator, perform basic research on issues related to the Access Campaign.
(3)Support Access Campaign external relations- Receiving and responding to Japanese language emails and phone calls from Access Campaign external contacts under the direct supervision of Access Campaign Coordinator.
- Arranging meetings on behalf of Access Campaign Coordinator with government, business, civil society and academics.
- Accompanying Access Campaign Coordinator to external meetings, events,forums, conferences, panel discussions, briefing of policy makers and interviews.
- On occasion will take minutes of meetings.

| Requirement |
Essential Skills and Experience- Interest in and commitment to the humanitarian principles of MSF.
- Minimum of 2 years valid working experience in NGO's or corporations, plus relevant BA degree
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.(Japanese and English)
- Good knowledge of international affairs, and genuine interest and demonstrable understanding of and demonstrable commitment to humanitarian issues.
- Ability to perform basic research, analyze and synthesize complex medical and policy-related topics.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently to general guidelines; capacity to take initiatives and seize opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills including accessible and friendly telephone manner.
- Computer literate.
- Efficiency in task and time management.
Desirable Skills and Experience- Proven and demonstrated analytical skills as well as excellent judgment.
- Experience of policy advocacy campaigning.
- Good understanding of MSF field programs
Language- Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese (mother tongue equivalent)

| Conditions |
Salary: as per the salary scale.
Working hours: 5 days per week, 40 hours per week. (*)
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday, Year-end/New-year Holiday.
Social Insurance: To be covered by our social insurance.
Allowance: Commuting Allowance
Starting Date: Late February or early March.
(*) Shorter working hours would be possible considering your situation.
